april newsletter ISSUE 47

Despite the adverse weather over the Easter holiday, the cervia was opened up for the public, and turned out to be a good weekend. we scraped by with just enough volunteers to keep up with the large number of visitors.
For those of you who are aware of the National Historic Ships register, a great picture was submitted by a Mr David Stearne, for a completion organised by the NHSR, for their annual calendar. Cervia is now the pin up for the month of April, eagle eyed observers might just spot the chairman, slapping some teak paint onto the engine room casing.
This year is all about painting the interior, so a start has been made down below in the saloon area. For those of you wishing to become a maintenance volunteer, particularly retired carpenters, please contact the site.
