They have finally arrived, the two new masts were delivered last week, and have been raised to a working height on a scaffold construction .now the work starts. some of the fittings have also arrived, courtesy of "weld of fabrication", many thanks to Alan May. Bottle screws and shackles have been ordered through sandfords of gravesend. finally, sometime in the near future when the masts are fully rigged, we are going to require a very large mobile crane for the big lift, so, if any one out there has a contact, please get in touch using the contact button.

Other news, two new volunteers have started, John Sorrell of deal, a customs and excise guy, who started last weekend showing visitors around the Cervia, and Trevor Grant, ex sun tugs, during the 60s and 70s.

this Thursday the 7th august, the lady members of the CVC are having a coffee morning in front of the ramsgate maritime museum, to raise much needed funds for the mast project. please come along and support us
